If you believe you have a medical emergency after treatment at The Skin Logic Clinic please read this page carefully...

What constitutes a medical emergency?

We understand that some clients are more nervous of treatment than others. We encourage you to contact our reception team if you genuinely believe you have a medical emergency from a treatment we have provided…. presuming it is safe to do so. If you believe you are having a life threatening or Anaphylactic reaction or incident please contact the emergency services by calling 999 first before notifying the clinic. We do not accept medical emergencies or give advice  from treatments performed elsewhere.

What is a life threatening or Anaphylactic reaction?

An anaphylactic or life-threatening reaction is a severe, rapid-onset allergic response that can affect multiple body systems. Triggered by allergens like food, medication, insect stings, or latex, it results in symptoms such as difficulty breathing, swelling, hives, low blood pressure, and a rapid or weak pulse. Severe cases can lead to airway obstruction, cardiac arrest, or shock (anaphylactic shock). Call 999 immediately. Immediate treatment with epinephrine (adrenaline) is critical to counteract the reaction. Without prompt medical intervention, anaphylaxis can be fatal. It is considered a medical emergency, requiring emergency care and follow-up to identify and manage triggers for future prevention.
